Expose the Lord of Destruction from within you!

Build the power of Positive Destruction

It was Joseph Schumpeter who first wrote about Creative Destruction with the concept of evolutionary capitalist economy in Capitalism, Socialism, and Democracy in the year 1942. We have to understand that, Competition, innovation & need for a new change on compromising & abandoning the old, existing capital values available in the prevailing market are the roots for this process of creative destruction.

In simple words, a company in-order to grow needs to adopt Positive Destruction of obsolescence through innovation in its existing vital functions like, Planning, Marketing, Production or Servicing, Operations, Financing or Accounting, Administration and Co-ordination.

Lord Shiva - His Power of (Positive) Destruction

Now I see an interesting analogy in the Mythology which can be paralleled with the above concept of Positive destruction. It is believed that Lord Shiva evolved from the God Rudra as mentioned in Rig Veda & Shiva is normally associated with Destruction which subsequently explains the re-incarnation concept, since death is vital for rebirth.

According to Hindu Mythology, Lord Brahma (Creator) creates Life & hence he is linked with the creation of desires & morals within the living beings too! Similarly, Lord Vishnu (Preserver) protects the living beings created by Brahma, while the third one of the Trinity of Gods, Lord Shiva (Destroyer) is visualized as the God who walks away from all the worldly desires & considers material things like the least of all requisites of life. Lord Shiva with his third eye bestowing inward vision of one’s inner self is also capable of destruction when focussed outward.

It is said that, at the end of every Yuga, in-order to remove the dysfunction or disorder in the old existing system, there is a great annihilation of souls occurring through the various energies emanating from his third eye. This soul which is said to possess immoral qualities like greed, ego, anger, envy, fear, falsity, after the process of positive destruction, gives way for a new system & birth of the next set of new life on earth.

Embracing the Power of Lord Shiva within us

We, as human beings are also the creators, protectors & destroyers of our own desired ways of life. We are free to make any decisions in life, but we aren’t free from the consequences of those decisions taken in the past. By creating our own destiny with all our desires, we take the role of Lord Brahma. When we become too much desirous of the material things in this world, our minds go corrupt with the thirst of wanting for more! We then want to preserve or protect the materialistic things we have acquired, by taking up the role of Lord Vishnu. Apparently, we wish to cling only to the role of Lord Brahma or Lord Vishnu. Letting go of the desires & immoral qualities at-least at one point in life and to lead a content life is very difficult for any normal human being.

We need to embrace a thirst for letting go of materialistic desires & losing immoral qualities by abandoning the old way of thinking but learn new skills involving ourselves in active self-development to improvise through a process of positive destruction. Embrace the power of Lord Shiva within us and let us take-up the role of Lord Shiva to self-cleanse and work on ourselves to become eminently valuable in Life.
